Supporting charities and fundraising

We support lots of charities in a number of different ways. Here are ways we have helped other people less fortunate than ourselves.

  • Each year our Harvest Festival in church supports a women's refuge, donating the food collected.
  • We also raise money from the Harvest Festival collection taken in church to help, for example, the people of Manga in Tanzania, to provide a water supply to their new primary school.
  • Mrs Eriksen's class held a Macmillan coffee and reading morning, which raised a fantastic £100. (See photos in the gallery
  • We raise money by wearing our jeans to school for donations to Jeans for Genes Day, to support children with genetic disorders.
  • At our Christingle services we collect for the Children's Society.

We also have fundraising events in school to raise money to:

  • subsidise school visits, for example, interfaith visits or Young Voices choir concert at Sheffield Arena
  • enhance our environment, for example, playground markings and FS2 outdoor area
  • improve our learning resources, for example, P.E. and playground equipment
